Data Base Testing

Note : It is a Functional Testing

Verifying Of Various Operations Such As Additions , Modifications And Deletions Performed In Front End And Back End . 

Verification Of Database Design Such as Data Type , Field Lengths , Constraints And Also Verifying SQL Scripts Such As 

Stored Procedures And Triggers Is Collectively Called DB Testing.

Necessity Of DB Testing :

In General A Tester Will Confirm The Functionality By seeing The Appropriate Messages Displayed By ( AUT ) Application . 

If The Application Is Displaying a Successful  Message Then Tester Assumes That The Functionality Is Justified In The System.

But This Message is A Programming Technique Not a Conformation From The DB . So It Is Not a Guarantee That The Data Is

 Really Storing At DB , In order To Confirm That DB Testing Is Required .
